Wasco Council District 1: Reyna Ahead of Wimberly by Just 18 Votes

WASCO, Kern County. — November 5, 2026. Kern County’s first full election-night summary places Gilberto Reyna ahead of Aubrey E. Wimberly in the Wasco City Council District 1 election. Reyna has 200 votes (52.36%) and Wimberly has 182 (47.64%) — a gap of 18 votes among 382 reported valid candidate choices.

District results are not the whole city

This is a district-based council vote. Voters eligible for District 1 are not necessarily the entire population of Wasco, and turnout for the mayor, school district or countywide propositions cannot be inferred from these totals. The county dashboard lists three of three precincts initially reporting for this council district.

How easily could the ordering change?

With a reported margin of 18 votes, additional eligible District 1 ballots could narrow or reverse the lead. The number of still-unprocessed ballots in this specific council district is not established by the countywide results page.
